Don van der Zwaag, M&A Advisor

Don van der Zwaag brings over 30 years of experience in M&A advisory services, strategic planning and transition guidance for owner-operated businesses. Over his career Don has developed intuitive skills in managing the expectations of business owners during sensitive and emotional transactions. Don has served in various operational leadership roles in the manufacturing and the not-for-profit spaces, as well as provided start-up and turn-around advice to manufacturing businesses. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Don earned his MBA from the University of Michigan in Operations Research. He has completed professional certifications as a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA), Certified Value Builder (CVB), and Exit Planner (CEPA). Don lives near Grand Rapids, Michigan and will represent IG in its activities across the Upper Midwest.
