Second Transaction Completed in September for IG: Wood Truss Company

Strategic buyer will scale proprietary truss production business  

September 2021 - The Independence Group (IG) has completed the transaction of a Wood Truss Production Company. 

The Company designs and produces pre-manufactured wood trusses, specializing in roofs for new and existing homes.  Located in Northern California, its client base includes construction companies, contractors, home builders and developers. The Seller will retire following the ownership transition.   

The Buyer operates a comparable truss production company in a non-competing geographic location and will scale the business with this acquisition.

IG’s outreach to its extensive buyer network generated interest across manufacturing and construction sectors.  The strategic Buyer was identified through detailed research and contact by the IG team headed by Joe Cavazos, IG’s M&A Advisor representing the Seller.   Also key to the marketing, financial and closing process were IG’s Larry Willis, Alejandra Cavazos, Janet Scherr and Brittany Black.
