Business Value Estimate

We start with a detailed assessment of your business and industry to determine fair market value. If you choose to work with IG, you'll enter a success-based, 12-month exclusive agreement with no upfront fees—just a fixed percentage of the transaction value.

Marketing

Once the agreement is finalized, we gather key business details and develop a tailored marketing strategy, featuring a Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM) and a “blind teaser” to showcase your strengths while ensuring strict confidentiality.

Targeting Qualified Buyers

We leverage our extensive network of financial buyers, and target strategic buyers, industry competitors, and high-net-worth individuals, identifying those with the resources and expertise to successfully acquire and operate your business.

Auction-Type Sale

Having multiple buyers compete for your business increases leverage. Our approach is designed to foster competitive interest, allowing us to structure a deal that maximizes your outcome.

Deal Guidance

Establishing value is critical for both business sellers and buyers in order to plan an orderly exit strategy.  IG provides expert evaluations to give you a clear estimate of your business’s worth.

Our process includes:

  • Reviewing historic financial trends
  • Examining comparable historic transactions
  • Adjusting for one-time, non-recurring expenses or those not directly related to business operations (Normalized EBITDA)
  • Reviewing similar businesses currently for sale
  • Analysis of industry economic trends
  • Comparing your business’s risk profile to the industry
  • Determining the most likely buyers for your business
  • Delivering an estimated value range based on your findings

We typically waive the fee for conducting a Value Estimate if the client works with IG to sell their business. For those not intending to proceed with a sale, the fee ranges between $3,000-$5,000.
